A word prompt, set by Sammi Cox, Author Aspiring, a challenge to get creativity flowing this weekend. It’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise and you can find other responses in Sammi’s comment section. Here’s mine.
I’ve got it all.
A nice pond.
A man-made island in the middle.
Perfect for nesting.
Food provided every day.
And yet…
There’s this crazy, curious element in my DNA.
Ducks were wild once
Who says ‘tame’ is good?
What if they lied?
What if there’s more?
Interesting analogy, Jenne.
I think that many of us feel that we have been ‘tamed’ by the restrictions imposed by/for recent events.
And some of us definitely think there’s more…

Smart duck. There definitely is more to life, the sooner we can get out of our islands the better, hopefully not long now.
