About

A Scot who studied languages at Glasgow University and the Sorbonne in Paris, Jenne worked in education in West Africa and Scotland.
Her role as international officer in a further education college in Glasgow united her two passions: education and working with students from different countries.
She volunteered with refugees and people seeking asylum, and heard courageous and heartbreaking tales, which occasionally find their way, in fictionalised form, into her writing.
Because some stories just have to be told…

She now lives by the Mediterranean on France’s Côte Vermeille, near the Spanish border.

Jenne is a writer, poet and playwright, whose work has appeared in Postbox Magazine, PENning Scotland online magazine, and various other print and online anthologies.

Her play, When the Rudder Snaps, was broadcast on Renfrewshire-based Pulse Radio.

Known as The Story Lady, Jenne’s collaborations with C. E. Ayr feature on:
Ayr Hospital Radio (regular slot)
Tsukure Community Radio, Ayr, Scotland (multiple broadcasts)
Writers’ Block Radio Hour on Super Sound Scotland Radio (multiple broadcasts)
The Mutual Audio Network in the USA (multiple broadcasts)
The Narada Radio Company Audio Drama in the USA

She also does a hugely entertaining impersonation of Miss Jean Brodie in her fun YouTube presentation of Apostrophes, a piece created by C. E. Ayr.

She is currently writing the next Great Scottish Novel.
